Are you up for a challenge? This ride has three options -
1. For those who prefer more mileage and/or more of a warmup for the climb, start from Greenwater WA at 9AM. Wapiti Woolens has agreed to allow up to 5 vehicles to park at or near their store so carpooling is strongly suggested for anyone wanting to start there. Maggie Cable, our ride leader will be there with a full van at 8:30 AM. Starting from Greenwater makes for about 68 miles RT and about 5,000 ft. of climbing.
2. Start the ride at Crystal Blvd./ 410 parking lot around 9:45AM when the group starting in Greenwater arrives. Riders starting here will have a ride of approximately 45 miles RT.
3.Start at the Sunrise Ranger station @ 10 – 10:15 (when the group arrives) for a total of 40 miles roundtrip. This will make for a very challenging 40 miles since the serious climbing (4000 feet) begins almost immediately after leaving the station. To get to the ranger station, follow the brown signs on 410.
Rain cancels. Dress for the weather at summit.
